The apartment is on the third floor of a house owned by a family I found strange, and this was my worst experience with accommodation in Austria. We weren’t allowed to have guests. The house rules did say to let the owners know when guests were expected, but when we told the young owners we’d be receiving visitors, the older owners apparently disagreed. They made a big fuss and demanded 18 euros per guest, which was also the living cost per person per week. On our last night the older couple shouted at us, behaved very rudely, and demanded payment for our guests. The older woman counted our ski boots every evening and watched closely when we came and went. Now I wonder if they went through our things. Two of the rooms are in the basement, and they’re very small and cold. I’d suggest finding another apartment unless you want to deal with these people. There are better options around.
