The service was good, and the staff were polite and attentive. I went to the restaurant on two evenings. The pizza I had the first night was enjoyable, good enough but nothing special. On my other visit I ordered grilled salmon with grilled vegetables and parsley potatoes. The salmon portion was tiny, the vegetables tasted a little bitter, and the potatoes were acceptable. All in all, the dish didn’t feel worth the price. Depending on how busy it is, the food can take a long time, up to an hour.

You can end up waiting ages at the door, even though the sign says “wait to be seated.” The waiters ignore you until eventually someone tells you to find a table yourself. Then it can be another 15 minutes before anyone takes your order, even when the place isn’t busy. They may also forget your drinks, leaving you to track someone down after the food has arrived. Service here is very poor. There are other restaurants in Kaprun with much better food and service, so I’d avoid this one.

The staff were friendly, and everything was good. The food was delicious, especially the pizza.

I chose this hotel apartment for the Spartan Race, whose start was just 10 meters from the Schneiderei. I could watch the whole festival from the balcony. The staff were super friendly and nice, and the food was absolutely delicious. You also get free access to the Tauern Spa, with amazing pools and saunas and stunning views of the Austrian Alps. Best hotel apartment in Kaprun!
