Haus Almkreek

We spent a lovely week in this beautiful house. It’s very clean and everything works. The location is in a quieter part of Kaprun, near the starting points for both ski areas, Kaprun and Zell am See.

We had a relaxed winter sports week at Haus Almkreek with friends and the kids. It was clean, tidy, spacious, and spread across 2 levels, with a balcony/terrace comfortable enough to sit and unwind. The kitchen was fine and the living rooms were roomy. The manager welcomed us and gave a short, clear explanation, then we settled in for a worry-free stay. There were no surprise costs or arguments with the manager or owner, and all the conveniences were there. The supermarket is around the corner, and it’s a short 10-minute walk to Kaprun center, where the children’s practice slope is. I saw a comment about a quiet zone in a 1-star review. That’s set by law across Austria, from 22:00 to 06:00. A curious detail. The vibe here was very relaxed. Highly recommended!

We stayed with 8 adults and 8 children, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The rooms were clean and fully equipped, and the sauna was lovely and heated up quickly. A supermarket is less than a two-minute walk away, and Kaprun town center is nearby too. You can walk to the Maiskogel lift or drive there easily for winter sports. Highly recommended!

We stayed in this beautiful, modern, well-maintained apartment with three families and had a wonderful time. It has three bathrooms, an extra toilet, and a heated room for skis and boots, so we were always ready on time. There’s a supermarket close by for fresh bread rolls in the morning, and the apartment is centrally located. The ski slope is 5 minutes away, Zell am See is 15 minutes away, and Saalbach Hinterglemm is 30 minutes away. It’s equipped with every comfort, from three different coffee makers to a washer-dryer. Definitely recommended, and we might come back!
