The food could have made for a great meal, but the service really took away from it. We waited about 15 minutes without menus, and I finally had to go inside and ask for them. When the food arrived after a noticeable delay, we asked what one dish was just to confirm. The server replied, “You ordered it, you should know.” It was rude and completely unnecessary. The pizza came unsliced. We politely asked if it could be cut, and she said, “You cut it ?” as if we were being unreasonable. I’ve never had service this poor before.

I don’t recommend Muslims or Arabs deal with this restaurant. The person in charge, or the owner, refused to let us stay in the restaurant for religious and racist reasons. That was disgusting behavior and reflects on that person. The Austrian people we met during our stay treated us with respect. They were friendly, polite, helpful, cultured, and civilized, and we didn’t encounter racist behavior anywhere else. I advise against dealing with this restaurant.

Most of the food was good, apart from the pasta with pesto. The service felt a bit forced and unnatural, and at the end the waiter assumed we were tipping and didn’t bother to bring back our change.

We went for the kaiserschmarrn after a local recommended the restaurant, but the food was disappointing and the service made the evening stressful. The Kaiserschmarrn arrived cold. After a full day skiing, we were hungry enough to eat the dish we were brought without noticing it was wrong. The waiter who had taken our order then shouted at us for eating something we hadn't ordered and walked off angrily. When we later asked what would happen about the mix-up, he said we could finish it and that we wouldn't be charged extra because it was a more expensive dish, but added that he expected a tip. He then told a colleague the story in German and they laughed. I have an Asian-looking face, and I guess he didn't realize I understood German. We were sitting at the bar where he worked, so it happened right in front of us. Earlier, the boss had turned us away rudely when we arrived without a reservation. We only wanted a quick bite and asked if we could sit at the bar. They eventually agreed. I understand they may have been fully booked on Boxing Day evening, but there was no need to be rude. We should have left when they first said they were full. All in all, a disappointing and stressful experience, with racist staff and poor-quality food.
