The biggest problem for me was at checkout: the host asked whether I was driving, and after I said I was taking public transport to Salzburg for my flight, wished me a good trip. At Zell am See bahnhof, the ticket clerk told me visitors in the region get a guest mobility card for free travel across Salzburg. I had already paid for the train and bus both ways because the hosts hadn't told me I could get a free ticket. That felt especially frustrating after the earlier communication. They replied right away when I first asked about booking, but after I transferred the deposit and requested confirmation, I heard nothing for two weeks, despite emailing. Perhaps the hosts were on vacation, but the difference before and after payment left a bad impression. On arrival there was no information, and when I asked the hostess for the wifi password and about the sauna, she seemed visibly displeased. The sauna also turned out to cost extra. The room itself was basic but okay. The shower wasn't in a separate stall, it was right in the room. The house is beside the bus stop. Hot water was fairly hot in the morning, warm in the afternoon, and only a little warm by evening.

I chose Pension Heidi for a solo trip around Europe because I wanted to hike in the Alps, and I loved my time there. The summercard included with my booking saved me a lot and was really convenient, covering public transport, cable cars, and entry to various attractions. The hosts were incredibly kind and answered all my questions, doing a lot to make me comfortable. My room was great and cleaned every day, and breakfast was delicious. It's easy to walk around Kaprun from there, and a bus stop right outside the parking lot takes you elsewhere. I highly recommend Heidi Pension and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kaprun.

The people here were great, and the location and breakfast were good too. I was staying for ten days on a school ski trip when I got sick after four days and spent the first few days mostly in bed. The boss lady was a huge help, bringing me tea and sorting out the room while I sat downstairs. They even helped me get to a doctor, which made me feel much better in the end. Highly recommended!

The owners were so lovely and welcoming, and made a great first impression. Breakfast was amazing and the room was excellent and very clean. I was really pleased with the stay, even though it was a short one, and hope to come back for longer. Thanks so much.

The warm people and hearty breakfast made this a great stay in Kaprun. The Zell Am See summer card was another big plus. It's also very close to the bus stand, which should be useful for a lot of guests.
