Really good.

The mountain views were lovely, and it was quiet enough to hear birds. The host was thoughtful, the bedsheets and pillows were good quality, and the down comforters were cozy. Our studio was clean, had plenty of closets, a nice interior, and everything we needed. My daughter especially liked the little kitchenette tucked into the closet. There’s also a ski room, so you don’t have to carry your skis upstairs. We walked to the lifts in seven minutes with our 7-year-old, even with window-shopping and scrambling along the way. On my own I could have made it in four, so the gondola is close. The price felt reasonable for such a cozy place, so book ahead. The host is a tournid. There’s no elevator, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase upstairs in stages.

When I had the flu and lost my voice, the host noticed and brought me tea and throat lozenges. That was incredibly sweet. It’s a lovely place with a super host, and the location is top-notch with lots of parking. The rooms are well equipped for the price. The kitchenette is small, but we knew that before booking and were glad to have it.

It’s a cozy, very clean, typical Austrian guesthouse, and the host is always friendly. We found it good value for money. Our stay was in central Kaprun, diagonally across from the ski lift, with routes to the Maiskogel and the Glacier. There’s a supermarket and a range of restaurants just two minutes away on foot. The kitchenette has two burners, handy for simple meals or an egg at breakfast.
