Johannahof Appartements

Doris, the manager, is so helpful and friendly that she makes you feel at home and part of the family. That's part of what made my stay such a great taste of Austria, without the usual tourist gimmicks. Johannahof has a warm, homely feel, with an iron railing along the marble stairs to the rooms and apartments. My room was very clean, with cozy Austrian beds and comforters, and it had all I needed to cook and serve food. The traditional breakfast room was another highlight. There's a private working sauna and foot bath, lots of room for skis and gear, a large side yard for outdoor activities, lovely views, and shops and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. The ski bus picks up less than a minute away. There's also a basement bar and dart room, and Nelli is a very lovable dog who's great with people of all ages. The place is pet friendly too. I had an amazing time and have already booked flights to return in eight weeks. I'll stay at Johannahof every time I'm in Kaprun from now on.

We plan to come back in winter. This is family accommodation right in the middle of Kaprun, with a really kind host and the best breakfast in town. And I can't forget Nelli, the lovely, pretty labradoodle. If you're holidaying in Kaprun, I'd recommend Johannahof Apartment.

The rooms have an old-fashioned feel, but they're absolutely fine for the price. There's a nice garden that's ideal for kids, and guests can use iPads for free during their stay. The hosts are very friendly.

Good service and clean, fresh rooms. It's close to the main attractions.
