Hotel Kaprunerhof

Everything was organized so well, from reception to the room and especially the restaurant. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their warm smiles made me want to eat there every day. Their attention to detail and service made the stay feel unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Set on a quiet cul-de-sac a few minutes’ walk from the center of Kaprun, this family-run place has its own lovely style. The traditional look inside and out feels different from other hotels I’ve stayed in, but not old-fashioned. Beds are comfy, the food is great, and the house wines are good. Some wine suggestions were excellent, though occasionally pricey. The indoor pool is the best I’ve found in Kaprun apart from the Tauern Spa. There’s a clean steam room, an indoor sauna, an outdoor Finnish sauna hut with a cold bucket shower, and a pleasant room to relax in. Andreas gives excellent sports and deep tissue massages, with useful free advice too. It’s well worth booking after a hard day of hiking or skiing. Service is always friendly, and all the staff speak German and English. If you ask, they’re patient with you while you practice your badly spoken German.

I spent far too long sitting outside, watching the lighting over the mountains and listening to the river. After a long day, it was exactly what I needed. We’d only booked one night because we already had reservations elsewhere, which was the only downside. We got “the best view in the hotel.” We ended up at Hotel Kaprunerhof after a horrible experience with a nearby apartment rental, and luckily the hotel had a room for three when I called. Stefan and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome and helped turn the rest of the evening around. If we’re in Austria again, we’ll plan a few days here so we can see more of the wonderful area we missed. Thanks again for everything!

The rooms were clean and the beds really comfortable. We also had access to the InJoy gym included with our stay, which was nice, though there were no towels there, so bring one from the hotel. Grocery stores are easy to reach on foot. The hotel is wonderful, close to the shops and restaurants, and only a few minutes’ drive from the base of the Kitzsteinhorn. Service was great and the food was outstanding. Amazing property with great amenities.
