The location is the main advantage, close to the glacier and with a bus stop right outside. The spa is okay and relatively new, but the rooms are small and outdated. The owners came across as a bit unfriendly and didn’t seem to make much effort to make sure guests were satisfied. For what you pay, I don’t think the hotel is worth it. The food was weak overall: breakfast was poor and the same every day, just an omelette, some ham, a little cheese, and cut vegetables. It needs more variety, which could be done with minimal cost and effort from the owners. Dinner was average too, with little variety and nothing that stood out. Honestly, I don’t think I’d stay here again if I returned to Kaprun.

We spent three days here on a ski trip with more than 30 colleagues. The rooms were clean but small, with very little space to put away or dry clothes. Breakfast was average, and there wasn’t enough of everything throughout the breakfast period. Dinner was a strange experience. Even though we’d ordered all the meals in the morning, it took 2.5 hours from entering the dining room to finishing dessert. I’ve never seen such flegmatic and inefficient service. The dinners were presented as high-level cooking, but in reality they were below average.

Friendly service, tasty meals, and great value. The rooms are a bit dated. There are two saunas, one regular and one at a lower temperature of 60C, plus a library.

The food was really delicious, thanks to the chef, and we were grateful to the staff serving breakfast and dinner. Apart from that, it was an awful stay, and I’d never recommend the hotel. The management were super rude. We paid for sauna facilities, but they wouldn’t switch the sauna on, saying two hours was too little time for a spa visit. The next day, they said we needed a test to use the spa, even though we could stay at the hotel without one. The owner told us to go to Zell am See, an hour away. Later we found out the website said customers could be tested at the hotel for free. For whatever reason, the owner hadn’t mentioned that option at first. We had to leave.
