VAYA Kaprun

I was really uncomfortable with how little privacy there was: staff came into my room without knocking. There were also spiders and lots of other insects in the room, plus constant noise from the garage. The garage was tiny and difficult to use. I stayed a few nights and came away very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Yoanna and Jure at reception were so friendly and helped me change my booking dates without any trouble, which made everything easy. I also loved the beautiful view, how clean the hotel was, and the summer card they provide for local activities. I really enjoyed my stay at Vaya Kaprun and would recommend it.

The location worked really well for activities in the area, and the summer card was a nice bonus. We spent two nights here. The rooms were very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

The location was a big plus: right in the center of Kaprun, by a bus stop with buses every 15 minutes, and close to three supermarkets and some excellent restaurants. We rented a very nice apartment with a balcony and mountain views, and really liked the interior. It had a kitchen with utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans for cooking. That said, we booked it as a four-star hotel and found it was only an apartment rental. There was no breakfast, though croissants and fresh bread could be ordered. We had no service during our seven days, and I was disappointed there was no shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, or hair dryer. We also didn’t get a double bed or double blanket, which was inconvenient. I think those could be provided for double rooms. I hope the admins take note. There’s another Vaya hotel up in the mountains near the ski lifts, and perhaps that one offers hotel service and everything needed.
