Alpenhaus Kesselfall

They seem to book more rooms than they actually have available and try to fill the hotel to capacity. Then guests are told there's no room for them and that it's not the hotel's problem. They have to find somewhere else to stay and pay for it themselves. We'll never return.

Most nights I couldn't get a decent sleep. People nearby were shouting and making noise around midnight to 1 AM, and I wouldn't recommend this place to teens or anyone hoping to relax. There wasn't anything interesting or fun to do, either. The apartment felt disgusting because of all the dust. Huge clumps kept appearing every day even after I vacuumed several times. The pillows were awful, old and so uncomfortable, like bags of cotton chunks. The laundry room was dirty, had no soap, and I couldn't figure out how to use it, so I had no way to wash my clothes. The restaurant downstairs was acceptable, though I wouldn't choose to eat there. Some employees came across as mean and rude, while others were nice. Most of the cleaning ladies were really nice, but the men in the lobby didn't seem welcoming or approachable.

The bus tickets to Mooserboden lake were included in the price, which was a nice bonus. The accommodation itself was nice and the breakfast was good, though it could use some redecorating. Some bathrooms have already been done up.

Kessefall made a lovely setting for a winter holiday in the Zell am See / Kaprun / Saalbach area. Our group of 30 rented the whole place, and it was wonderful for skiing. If you enjoy cozy time with friends and family, I'd recommend it. We're going back next year!
