We enjoyed the balcony, with flowers and outdoor tables, and the views of both the mountains and the village. The apartment is spacious, the location is quite good, and the parking area fits around 3-4 cars. The internet worked well for browsing and social media, though I didn't try streaming video or films. I didn't use every facility, but it seemed to have what you'd need. The house has the typical Austrian country style in its design, furnishings, and facilities, so it's a good way to experience village life. The host was very friendly at check-in and gave us a delicious homemade marble cake the day before we left. I think she speaks only German, so I used ChatGPT live chat to translate. A couple of things weren't so pleasant. The entrance and stairs had a smell like aged or fermented cheese. I have a very strong sense of smell, and people around me know that, but I didn't mention it to the host because it was only in the entrance, not in the apartment, on the balcony, or by the open windows, and I didn't want to be rude. There were no insect screens, so bugs could be an issue if you leave the windows open for a long time, during the day or at night, especially with the lights on. The apartment is on the first floor, above the basement and ground floor, and you have to climb two sets of stairs. Carrying luggage or heavy things up is challenging, so keep that in mind. Even so, I would probably book again and recommend it to friends and family, since these things are typical of Austrian country houses and part of experiencing that lifestyle.

We stayed in the top-floor Edelweiss apartment. It was spacious and comfortable, very clean, and had a roomy bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. Through its two north-facing windows, we could see the village and Church, while the large bedroom opened onto a south-facing terrace with peaceful meadow and mountain views. Anne Marie was a kind and caring owner. She speaks German and Italian, and we managed fine with help from Google Translate. Kartitsch is a lovely quiet place at 1,356m in Gailtal, the highest valley in East Tirol, close to the Italian border and about an hour from the 3 Zinnen. Highly recommended!

Everything was clean, with all the facilities as described, and the location was great.

The apartment was the cleanest I've ever stayed in, and the host was the kindest too!
