Aparthotel Garni Monte

We slept wonderfully, with the river's sound as a nighttime soundtrack. The hostess made us feel at home and served fresh bread and morning coffee so warmly. The hotel is lovingly maintained in every corner, and the cozy rooms are full of character. It was a very pleasant surprise, especially for travelers driving without a fixed itinerary. You can really feel that Tyrolean hospitality here.

We were offered a choice of two rooms when we arrived because ours had been upgraded. The room was clean and had a great view, and Beatrix was such a lovely hostess. She speaks fluent English as well. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it.

The sauna and day spa were a nice surprise, and you can book them for private use. The rooms were well kept and worked really well for our fairly long stay. The owner and staff were kind and helpful, which made everything easy in this beautiful spot.

We stayed for a few weeks in Lillien II, a two-room apartment with a lovely balcony overlooking the valley and mountains. It was quiet, clean, and well looked after by Beatrix and Elisabetta, who took great care of us. We could change the towels and bed linen whenever we needed, and wash our own clothes in the washer and dryer. Our bikes had secure storage, and there was room to park our large car in front of the hotel. The kitchen was simple but had what we needed to cook for ourselves. A small shop with the essentials is a ten-minute walk away, while larger supermarkets are ten minutes down the valley by car. We found it a great base for outings to the Tre Cime area, including the Auronzo hut about a 40-minute drive away, as well as Cortina and the Riesenferner mountains. There are also lovely hikes around Kartitsch, such as the walk through Winklertal to see the beautiful waterfall. Everything was just as we expected.
