There’s a great wellness area, with an indoor pool and an outdoor infinity pool that’s my favorite, plus lovely saunas my partner enjoyed most. After skiing, don’t miss the little snacks at the bar. Breakfast and dinner are both good. Don’t expect three-star Michelin food, but breakfast has a wide mix of healthy and less healthy options, loads of great breads and freshly squeezed orange juice. Dinner is five courses: starter, soup, salad, main and dessert, with cheeses if you want them. I like the Bergkaese, which has a little spice on the tongue. The location is spot on, right by the ski slope and lift, so starting the day is easy. Freizeit PSO is also only 500 metres away. As parents of a child with special needs, we really value being able to rent the sitzski there for our son and get lessons on how to ski with it. I’ve written another review about Freizeit PSO. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with everything you need. The service is outstanding, and the staff are warm and friendly. We’ve been coming for several years and still see familiar faces, which we take as a good sign, just like our own repeat visits, hihi. It’s a very good hotel with everything you could want for a spring skiing break.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome the whole time. We had excellent food too. Being right on the ski slope made the location especially convenient. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

The saunas and outdoor pool were a real highlight after our hikes. We used them every day, and the views across the valley to Dachstein were amazing. The staff were sincerely friendly and attentive, and the food was great, with plenty of variety and local specialties. My favorite was the lamb crown with bacon-wrapped beans. Waldfrieden also has a wonderful location, with lovely views and easy connections to buses and lifts. We had a wonderful stay and holiday, and I’d recommend it to everyone.

The owners and staff deserve the biggest thanks. They really care about every guest, young or old. This winter holiday turned out even better than we expected, and we’re definitely coming back next season. The hotel sits right on the ski slope, so you can head out in your skis and finish the day right by the ski room. The food was delicious, with lots of breakfast choices and homemade dinners in the evening. WiFi worked without any problems, and the spa area was perfect.
