A lovely place to stay, with a great breakfast and a very friendly host. Highly recommend it for a visit to the glacier, whether you're going skiing or coming in summer.

I've rarely been treated with such disrespect. We booked a room in this guesthouse for two nights through an online portal so we could attend the Kaunertal Opening Event, something we've made a tradition of doing every year. One booking attempt was canceled, then a second was completed successfully, and we received one confirmation email. When we arrived, Ms. Praxmarer said we'd booked two rooms and had to pay for both because she could have let the other room to someone else. She seemed unable to use the booking portals she advertises on properly. By chance, friends of ours were also driving to Kaunertal and needed a room, so we offered them the extra room. Ms. Praxmarer was very skeptical, but accepted after we reassured her several times. Our friends had a dog, so we asked if that was all right. She said absolutely not, despite listings on urlauburlaub.at and alpine-gastgeber.at clearly saying pets were allowed. The dog had to sleep in the car for both nights. She also went over the house rules with us, which we took note of. But later that evening, after we'd registered two additional guests in our room as the rules required, the landlady came in every half hour between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. to check how many people were there. It felt indiscreet and a bit paranoid. The next morning she did it again while we were still in bed. I asked if she thought it was okay to treat paying guests that way. She replied, "They're not normal guests [sic!]." That said a lot, dear Ms. Praxmarer. When we left, I tried to calmly explain that I felt disrespected and ask her to speak to me like an adult, politely and normally. I speak German quite fluently, and didn't want to be spoken to like a teenager caught stealing. It went nowhere. She said, "I don't depend on you!" and, "Next time I'll call the police!" She demanded money from us on arrival for a service we didn't receive, then said she didn't depend on us. And the police? I doubt they'd help with her paranoia. So much for "Tyrolean hospitality." Maybe she has had bad experiences with visitors to the Kaunertal Opening Event before, but that doesn't excuse this strange behavior. I can't recommend this guesthouse to anyone under 50. For completeness, the rooms were neatly and practically furnished, the free Wi-Fi worked well, and the ski cellar stayed open all night, though that probably isn't a problem in Feichten. Breakfast was adequate too, with coffee, eggs, cold cuts, cheese, jams, and bread and rolls.

The accommodation was quiet, with a balcony, a working heating system and a clean, well-equipped kitchen. We didn't use any of the other services.
