The apartment’s location was handy for hikes and excursions, and the swimming pond was free to use. Those were the positives. We were in the three-bedroom apartment on the second floor, but getting to the third bedroom meant walking through another bedroom, something the listing never mentioned. We’d asked about bringing our dog when booking and were told it wouldn’t be a problem because the owners have a dog too. Their dog was allowed to roam freely in the yard, though, which caused some trouble with ours. The dog fee was also very high and hard to understand. We left a key in the apartment by mistake and only noticed on the way home. Since then, our emails, calls, and registered letter have all gone unanswered. We also couldn’t reach the owners before we arrived.

The location is convenient and accessible, dogs are welcome, and there’s a garden pond. But the value for money was disappointing. In Apartment C, one bedroom is a walk-through room, which wasn’t disclosed in the offer. For the price, I’d expect a dishwasher for six people and laundry available midweek. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and the hostess offered no help getting it fixed. The TV was dated too. Those issues cost it a star each.

There was no Wi-Fi or dishwasher, and the kitchen items were old or broken. The towels described as fresh seemed to be old ones belonging to the owners. The beds were worn out, the TV looked ancient, and the apartment itself felt old. There were three of us, two adults and a toddler, along with our dog. We had to stay in the apartment under the roof, which the description hadn’t mentioned.

The hosts were super friendly, and fresh bread rolls arrived in the morning. It’s also in a great location for getting to Kitzbühel and Ellmau. We’d love to come back!

The setting is lovely and scenic, and the ski bus stops right beside the house, running free several times a day to the nearby slopes. There’s also a cross-country trail, plus sled rental within a walk of a kilometer or less; the toboggan run is 2 km long. Back at the guesthouse, the rooms are cozy and well equipped, the barbecue area has everything needed, and the hostess is friendly without being intrusive.
