Getting ready to ski was easy, with room in the house for skis and a good spot for boots and gear. The bus stop is only a 3-5 minute walk, then it’s a short ride to the Klausen gondola or Kitzbühel. We were four couples, and the shared spaces worked well for all of us. Each double room had decent storage, some drawers and some wardrobes, and the two bathrooms handled our group comfortably. The showers had good pressure, too. The kitchen had plenty of large pots for cooking for eight, plus a kettle, teapot, toaster, Nespresso pod machine, and various other equipment. The host was fabulous, helpful, and flexible, and the home was lovely.

Peter and Catrin made us feel right at home. We spent six days here as a family, and the house was great, with comfortable spaces and everything working perfectly. It was easy to drive to the Kitzbühel and Kirchberg Gondolas. Thanks to our wonderful hosts.

Schwarzsee is only a few minutes away, and in winter it’s quick to get to the Fleckalmbahn cable car. The town center is also about a 30-minute walk away. It’s a great spot for anyone who enjoys nature and sports. The house was cozy and spacious, and it had everything we needed for cooking, including a Nespresso machine. They’d even left a tea towel. It was all very clean and well cared for, and the mattresses were so comfortable that we slept like babies. Catrin and Peter were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, so we felt welcome right away. We had a wonderful time at Haus Aschenwald in Kitzbühel and would happily come back. We highly recommend it as a relaxing home away from home.

We had seven adults and a four-month-old baby with us, so having a kitchen was essential. The two bathrooms worked perfectly for our group, too. The place was spotless, beautifully furnished, and wonderfully equipped. Skiing, shopping, and restaurants were all easy to reach by car.
