The one bright spot was the concierge team, Thomas and Niko, who were professional and helpful. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The receptionist rudely told me to “step aside” while I was waiting to check in, letting guests who were checking out go first. Not a welcoming start after an 8+ hour trip. The room and breakfast both disappointed me and didn’t feel worth the price. Kitzbühel itself also felt cold and unfriendly, especially toward foreigners. For a ski trip, I’d strongly suggest looking at Switzerland or Italy instead, where you’re likely to find warmer service, better food, and a more welcoming atmosphere.

The little details at the Kitzhof made this Christmas stay memorable. The room smelled warm, like local pine wood, and I liked that the windows could either open fully or tilt to let in air. I had a balcony facing the main road, but the noise never bothered me much. It snowed on Christmas Eve, which made everything feel magical. The hotel is about an 8 minute walk from the city center, and I enjoyed going back and forth on foot. This was my second Christmas at the Kitzhof, and one of my favorite places in Austria. When I arrived last December, they already knew my name, and I had my room key in no time. Thanks for the welcome drinks! The food was delicious, and the morning crew were great. That’s how I met Lou, and I talked with her often. I also want to mention Thomas, who I hope I’ll share that drink with one day, Timothee, I think that’s his name, in the restaurant, and Lou and her nephew. I hope he’s settling in well in Austria. They all made the trip special. A Hungarian man cleaned my room, and I wish I’d learned his name so I could thank him for getting me memory foam pillows. The spa area is nice, though small. I tried a dry float without knowing what it was and enjoyed it a lot. It turned into a lovely little nap. On departure day, the kind man at the front desk offered to get me a cappacino, but I had to leave before it arrived. About 10 minutes later, the shuttle came back to the train station, and the driver had my coffee. Now that’s 5* service! Thanks for a wonderful trip. I hope to bring family or someone special next time. Please tell everyone I gave them a shout out!

The rooms, breakfast, and location were all great, and the service was the best. The staff were always helpful and ready with a “no problem” attitude. We’d definitely come back. One thing to know: the bathroom doors are sliding wood doors, so they don’t block noise.

The concierge service is impeccable, and the breakfast waitresses are all so delightful and pleasant. I loved the breakfast here, the best in Kitz! The rooms are a little smaller than I expected, but the balcony view and heated bathroom floors make up for that.
