For a Tyrolian experience away from town, on the mountainside overlooking Aurach, stop in for lunch or dinner. The menu highlights I'd try are spinach dumplings, beef broth with bacon dumplings, wienerschnitzel, and goulash with spaetzle. There's also a nice selection of wines, desserts and coffee.

Things took so long that about half the guests were understandably frustrated. Our food took an hour, and the table beside us waited an hour and a half. They said it was the third time in a row this had happened to them. When we raised it with the waiter and suggested they had taken on too many guests, she replied, “Well, this is not my decision. It’s the manager’s decision.” It felt like the usual response from a restaurant that doesn't care.

The food is excellent, and there's plenty of nice seating both indoors and outside. Friendly service too.

They had a wedding party arriving in about an hour, but still served us, and the staff were friendly. I found it a bit pricey, but the food tasted great!
