Haus Christopherus

We stayed in Apt 2, with the two doubles, and it worked out perfectly. The place was spotless, and the owners even came by halfway through our stay to change the towels and vacuum, something I’ve never had in a one-week winter rental. There was e-car charging right outside, too. They fixed or replaced two small broken things as soon as I mentioned them, and the ski room had boot warming and drying racks. We could also use the small sauna area. There were lovely touches throughout: chocolates on the bedside tables, fruit and a bottle of sparkly when we arrived, Christmas decorations in the apartment, and tea lights and candles outside each evening to welcome us back. On Christmas morning, there was a gift at our door. A couple of little things could be better. We could have used more plates and bowls, since there were only four of each kind and we ended up running the full-sized Siemens dishwasher every night. The bread knife was also so blunt it barely cut the crisp bread they make here. Those were minor issues, though, and it was great value. The village itself is quiet and doesn’t have much going on, which is fine if that’s what you like. It’s 10 mins between Stuben and Sonnekorpf, the two ski lifts, and there’s free parking. Just right for a ski holiday.
