Ferienhaus Hetzenauer

Mrs. Hetzenauer made us feel at home right away. She’s such a warm, welcoming hostess, and that’s one of the things we’ll remember most about our first visit. We stayed in her *Mona Lisa* apartment in Kössen from January 25th to February 8th, 2025, and enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked for next year. From the top floor, the big windows look out over Unterberg, where you can ski, and the striking Kaiser Mountains. The apartment is spacious, modern, and fitted with quality furnishings and thoughtful details. There’s plenty of crockery and cutlery, and the kitchen appliances are luxurious. Regular heating and a cozy gas fireplace keep the place comfortable. After being out in the cold, relaxing on the sofa with the snowy mountains in view and the fire flickering was just right. The little touches add up: pleasant lighting, lots of storage and hangers, and a great mattress on the box spring bed. The well-kept, modern bathroom has both a rain shower and handheld shower, as well as a washing machine. There are two balconies, one large and one small, for enjoying a drink or a light meal in the sun. There’s also an extra room with a sofa bed that can sleep up to two more people. A separate apartment for two is on the first floor, and dogs are welcome there. The village center, with restaurants and supermarkets, is a 5- to 10-minute walk away. We enjoyed winter walks nearby, and even when it was milder, there was still snow here while surrounding areas had turned green. It seems like a lovely place to stay in summer too, so this would suit any season. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The Mona Lisa apartment was a pleasure to stay in for a week. It’s modern, stylish, and furnished to a high standard, with all sorts of comforts and mountain views of the landscape from every room. I especially noticed how clean it was, which made it easy to feel at ease. The whole house is lovingly decorated, and the garden is lovely too, with lots of flowers, trees, and herbs. The hostess is at the heart of it all. She made us feel very welcome and does so much to make sure her guests are comfortable and enjoy their holiday. Simply fantastic! We’d love to come back. :-)

The mountain views are stunning, and you can head straight out for a walk or just unwind. We spent a lovely week in the “Mona Lisa” apartment on the top floor. It was modern, well maintained, and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine in the bathroom, and a fireplace that was great for relaxing evenings. Mrs. Hetzenauer gave us a warm welcome and showed us to the apartment. She was also easy to reach whenever we had a question or request, and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We’d love to return!

We booked another stay right away after spending 10 days at Ferienhaus Hetzenauer. It was one of our best holidays in a long time. Elisabeth was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she loves dogs and animals. Her Bergblick apartment was quiet and very clean, and had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, cozy sofa area, spacious bathroom, parking right outside, and a balcony with a fantastic view. The kitchen is especially well equipped, with two coffee makers, one for filter coffee and one fully automatic. The village is less than a 10-minute walk away, and Elisabeth’s hiking tips helped us find plenty of excursions. We’ll definitely hike the Smuggler's Trail again next year. Looking forward to our next visit!
