Landhaus Alpengruss

A great place to stay, with a lovely apartment and a well-equipped kitchen.

The landlord, Mr. Raubinger, was always friendly and accommodating, and we’d happily book this place again. Our beautiful Unterberg apartment was fully equipped, and they even offered a free towel change. It’s a short walk to the town center, and we stayed six nights. The sauna, infrared cabin, and relaxation area looked wonderful, but we didn’t use them because the weather was perfect for hiking.

We were eleven people, including five children, sharing three rooms. The rooms themselves were nice, but the glass bathroom door gave no privacy. From the hallway, it looked as if someone showering were standing in a shop window. Because of our holiday arrangements, we all gathered in one room on arrival day and kept quiet. The landlord still came to reprimand us for being too loud. You could hear every footstep in the wooden hallway, and he came back to complain that we were supposedly stomping. The next morning, while we were having coffee, he spoke to us unpleasantly and asked how we expected people to still be asleep at 10 a.m. When we paid on departure day, he tried to stop us from writing a review about the accommodation, rather than about him. To me, how guests are treated is a key part of a good holiday. As a couple or small family, you probably wouldn’t have to worry about this man. With a larger group, though, the gentleman would need to take tablets from morning till night.

We’ve stayed here several times and have always felt at home. The apartment is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with wonderful mountain views at any time of day. After skiing, the sauna is a lovely way to relax. It’s easy to reach the ski area, and shops and restaurants are close by. A beautiful apartment in a fantastic location, highly recommended.
