The views are spectacular, just as in the photos I posted, and the mountains and nearby trails make this a great place in any season. Kössen village is close by, and Ferdinand knows a lot about the area and his country. He was a wonderful host throughout my week in his beautiful holiday apartment. The room was amazing, with a perfect bed and clean linens, and the toilet and bathroom amenities were great. There was also a lovely living room and kitchen. I've travelled all over the world with the United States Marine Corps, after growing up in Dublin and living in the United States, so I know what makes a good place to stay. Haus Elisabeth is one. You'll have a great stay here, and you won't be disappointed.

Even though we ended up with the last room, down in the cellar, the service was really good. The owner welcomed us with a drink, showed us around, and even offered to get breakfast for us early the next morning despite having to go to work. The price felt fair for Kössen. I've attached a photo of the view from the street.

The landlord was very friendly, and the apartment had everything we needed for a holiday. From the balcony you can see the Wilder Kaiser and Zahmer Kaiser mountains, with lovely excursions in the area.

We had plenty of room in the apartment and found it had everything we needed. The kitchen was great for cooking, and the beds were really comfortable. The huge wooden balcony has a view that's hard to beat. Ferdinand looked after us so well and was very flexible when we made some challenging requests. We could share the upper floor with our family, which was fantastic. Thanks again for everything, Ferdinand. Hope to see you soon!

After our hikes, we could unwind on the terrace in the trees' shade, even with the temperature at 30 degrees. The house is in a quiet spot. The apartment was spacious and beautiful, with cozy furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen. We especially appreciated having both a shower and a bathtub in the bathroom, which we often miss when travelling. The owner gave us a warm welcome, shared helpful information and always had time for a chat. We had a wonderful holiday in Kössen and the surrounding area, with the rafting trip as a highlight.
