The house sits above the valley, with a wonderful view from every apartment. Being higher up on the hillside keeps the city and road noise away. After a busy day, there’s a nice sauna and relaxation room to use. We stayed at Gasperhof for six nights with our families, ages 2 to 40, and filled every room, so we got to try the whole house. Even with so many of us, we felt comfortable. Each apartment has a kitchen with enough equipment for a week and works well for simple cooking. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming, gave us trip ideas and told us where to buy local produce. They speak English and German, which was all we needed. Great house, great apartments, and a great week. Many thanks to Familie Zojer. We’d be happy to return!

Max and Ulli were so kind and always made time for us. The farm’s delicious cheese is available too, and when the weather turns bad, the comfortable sauna is a lovely place to relax. It’s a quiet, idyllic location, and we loved the mountain view from our holiday apartment. Perfect for our little family. We also got to experience farm life and feed the animals.

The children and I loved helping milk the cows. We got such a warm welcome at the Gasperhof farm, and our holiday there felt truly magical. It was our first time in Carinthia and at the Gasperhof, but we’d love to return again and again!

You can join in on the farm if you like. Bringing the cows in from the pasture for milking is especially good for anyone who finds it hard to switch off and relax 😅 It’s a peaceful place with no traffic noise, pastures full of grazing cows and sheep, and beautiful forests that mushroom enthusiasts will love. There are extensive hiking trails, a very good inn, and a village shop selling local products. Everything you need to enjoy yourself :)
