Our motorcycle group had a fantastic stay, and we'd wholeheartedly recommend this place to other riders. The Hotel-Metzgerei Engl is right in the center of Kötschach. The restaurant has a charming, rustic feel, and it's an easy place to sit back and enjoy yourself. Just keep in mind that it's not really suited to anyone looking for a spa hotel. We booked several rooms, and the booking process went perfectly. Our participant numbers and catering needs changed often, but every email was answered quickly and very kindly. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was outstanding, fresh, regional, and prepared with care. Having à la carte choices alongside the half-board booking worked especially well, since everyone found a favorite. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, with everything we needed to start the day. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortably furnished, with a welcoming feel and clear attention to quality. We'll definitely be back! 👏😊

We enjoyed two delicious meals during our vacation. The schnitzels were excellent, and the grilled dish was great too. There was that good old-fashioned Austrian hospitality, along with quality meat. Compliments to the friendly tattooed waitress as well.

The food is excellent quality, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It has a very quiet, familiar atmosphere.
