The cows beside the apartment were kept in conditions that were really upsetting to see. They were crowded into their stall and chained so tightly they couldn’t turn around or take even one step. They could only stand or sit. They apparently never go outside except when young. Every time we entered or left the apartment, seeing them made me sad, and we didn’t sit outdoors because of it. The garden also borders a busy road. If, like me, you care about animals, you’ll hate staying here.

That little private sauna in the apartment was the best part, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. We spent five lovely days at Freundsheimhof. The apartment had plenty of space, felt comfortable, and was clean and well equipped. They can also bring fresh rolls, croissants, and other bread to your door if you ask. We were very happy with our stay and can recommend it.

The views of the mountains and sunsets were superb, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We spent a week here over the summer holidays and found the apartment, rooms, and kitchen all in good condition. There was a pool, plenty of parking, and space in the basement to store or charge bikes. The bread roll delivery was good, and the prices were reasonable too. Next door, the livestock farm seemed old-fashioned and not very kind to animals, with cows chained in the barn. I don’t think the landlady is responsible for that, since her son runs the farm.
