Panoramahotel Burgeck

We spent three nights at the family-run Hotel Burgeck, Panorama, in Krimml. It sits 700 meters uphill from the center, with wonderful views over the meadows and mountains toward the Krimml waterfalls. We could even hear the falls from our balcony. Martin, the owner, drove us to and from the bus stop when we arrived and left, which made things easier and felt very welcoming. The staff were warm and helped us plan hikes, including a walk to the top of the famous Krimml Falls, which is within walking distance, and a panoramic outing in Neukirchen. We took the Bergbahnen cable car up to the Hohe Tauern peaks. There are plenty of trails and beautiful Alpine scenery in the region. They also made a real effort to provide tasty vegan breakfasts and dinners. The hotel has a calm, quiet feel, and walking through the meadows to and from it felt like stepping into Heidi's world, right there in Krimml.

I only ate at the restaurant, I didn't stay at the hotel. The food was just okay, nothing really stood out, and the service was okay too. It seems like the hotel's reviews are what lift this place's rating, rather than the food.

We’re staying here now and having a great time. The rooms are very clean, and the staff provide great service. The owner is a friendly, hard-working guy you see every day, always greeting you with a smile. And the view has to be the best in all of Krimml.

The balcony view is the highlight, absolutely breathtaking, with the Krimmel waterfall right there and the sound of the water so calming. Our room was just right, newly furnished, clean, and tidy. The family running the property were very friendly, and we'd definitely come back.
