The room was clean, the shower was nice, and the people were friendly. It's a handy homestay within walking distance of the Krimmler Waterfalls and the start of the Tauern Cycle Path. The bed felt too short, though maybe I'm just tall. Breakfast was hit and miss: no eggs, very little butter, old fruit, and filter coffee from a thermos despite having a Siemens EQ machine. Also, free parking isn't available in Krimmel. After staying here, we cycled the Tauern Cycle Path and enjoyed several places to stay along the way.

A lovely quiet place if that's what you're after. The rooms are spacious and very nice, with a modern bathroom and a big balcony overlooking the valley. The hosts are friendly and will meet almost any request. Hiking is great in the area, and the waterfall is well worth seeing. Good value for money, highly recommended.

I’ve traveled to Austria for years and have always been happy with the places I've stayed, but this one was a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it for families with children. There are no animals except a few chickens and cats, and there's nothing for kids to play with, not even a slide. The rooms can't be darkened, so the children were waking at 5:30 a.m. If they made noise, they were reprimanded. The towels were very old and much too small. The sofa had stains, and for a two-week stay there was only half a roll of toilet paper and three dishwasher tablets.

We’ve spent our hiking holidays with the Wechselberger family for many years and are happy to recommend the accommodation. It’s quiet, clean, and very well looked after. The hosts are friendly and glad to share information about hiking tours, the weather, and events. We’ll be back.
