VAYA Ladis

We spent a week there starting 3 Jan 25. The hotel is fantastic, and the staff are amazing, especially Martina, Natan, and Kornel. We travel a lot, and this place is right up there among the best. I can’t recommend it enough.

The spa was good, and the adults-only area was better for relaxing, though a few essential oils might be a nice addition. The pool area was hard to enjoy, since families with very young children were there and the kids were screaming. It didn’t feel like a public pool where people can play and shout. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, and the food was great, but if you stay seven days or more, you’ll be eating the same things. There wasn’t enough choice at the cold buffet, with the same items each day. We loved VAYA LADIS, but our stay was seriously disrupted by a group of 30 young mountain bikers. They shouted and slammed doors until midnight every night during their three-night stay. We told reception. They spoke to the group, but nothing changed, and we had three horrible nights. Restaurant service was perfect with Carlos, but he seemed to leave three days after we arrived. During the last four days, the service was horrible. The waiters ran around and seemed lost, and we waited a long time for food every night. Maybe one or two more waiters would help. It’s a four-star hotel, so we expected better service. Please don’t take groups of riders in the future, and please improve the restaurant service and keep an eye on the kids in the spa pool.

We stayed four nights with the kids, and the room made an impression as soon as we walked in. There was plenty of space for both parents and children, plus a good view from the balcony or terrace. The bathroom layout wasn’t ideal, though. The hotel has a modern style and a great location, with very friendly staff from different countries. English-speaking travelers will get along well. The indoor pool and wellness area were a must after long days hiking or biking, and the restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere and good food. It’s absolutely worth it. I imagine winter would be more appealing than the middle of summer, since there’s no air conditioning, but the other good things make up for that.

The Wi-Fi didn’t reach the balcony, and one of the two espresso machines was broken while we were there. Apart from that, it was a very nice place to stay, with a clean room, mountain views, and a breakfast that had a nice range of options.
