Gästehaus Renate

Renate was always kind and helpful, and the apartment made our week in Längenfeld unforgettable. It was cozy, clean, and had all the comforts we needed, plus a breathtaking mountain view. The location works well for exploring the region, from Sölden to Imst, and being close to the Acquadome made the stay even more special. We'll definitely be back.

Renate was really accommodating when we arrived late, and she speaks English very well. We enjoyed using our German with her too. The guesthouse is one of the best equipped we've stayed in in Austria, and it felt homey. It's a quick drive to Aqua Dome, or a pleasant longer walk through the Ötztal valley. Renate can arrange entry tickets there at 5% less than buying directly from the Therme. Highly recommend it.

The WiFi comes in 3GB coupons, which got annoying since I back up photos to the cloud every day. You can ask for more for free, but having to do that every couple of days is a hassle. That aside, I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are spacious, and the heating keeps things very warm on cold days, maybe too warm. There's plenty of parking, an outside entrance to the ski room, a small gym, and a sauna you can use for a small fee. No shops nearby, but you can order different kinds of breakfast rolls, and they were fantastic. The host is friendly, the skibus stop is fairly close, and there's an amazingly cuddly cat who purrs and sticks his head in your lap.

The apartment is easy to find, with free parking out front, and it's very quiet around the building. Inside, it's spacious in every direction and has what you need for a stay; the bed was comfortable too. The hostess is lovely and quick to help with requests. Although the booking information said 30% might be charged before arrival, nothing was held on my card, and I paid the full amount when I got there. You can request the sauna for free, just give them 30 minutes to heat it up. The cat seems to take its job of keeping everyone comfortable very seriously. A couple of things were awkward after a full day skiing. The ski room is down at minus second floor, reached by very narrow, steep stairs, and the stairs inside the building are narrow and steep as well. My tired feet were not happy about going up and down. There are no doors in the rooms apart from the toilet and balcony doors, and even the sliding door doesn't lock. Also, cars from the neighboring house sometimes take your parking spot. That's inconvenient late at night, though the host sorts out another place if you ask, and the neighbors' cars are usually gone the next day.
