Susi's suggestions for places to eat were right on. Haus Bergkristall was even better than we expected, and the rooms look better in person than they do in the website photos. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and the lifts are just a short walk away, which was no trouble at all. We had a really good time. Until next time! Regards, Thomas & Thomas

The owner is very kind, though she prefers to speak only German. Everything was very clean, but the price felt a bit steep for a small room with such a tiny bathroom, especially the sink. Breakfast had few sweet options and no pastries. The Italian TV channels weren't available, and none of the supplied Wi-Fi passwords worked. A1 mobile data coverage was poor too.

The rooms are a decent size and comfortably furnished, if you like that cozy, old-fashioned feel. Haus Bergkristall comes across as a big, charming apartment building turned into a small hotel, with a pleasant grandma's-house feeling. The welcoming owner looks after guests and their needs, and breakfast is delicious. The eggs are from the chickens in the garden next door. Gries is remote, but the Wi-Fi worked well enough to stream HD videos from the comfortable bed.

It isn't modern, and the bathroom fixtures feel a little dated. Still, it's very clean and welcoming, and nights are wonderfully quiet and dark. Breakfast is simple but really tasty, with beautiful surroundings all around.
