We booked a relax day ticket and got towels, a short tour guide, and loungers in a private area. The breakfast was good, and we had a small snack for lunch followed by a wonderful dessert. In winter, this can be one of the best ways to relax. The view, quality, and atmosphere were wow, a fascinating and relaxing experience.

This is only a review of the THERMAL POOLS AREA. It’s a beautiful place, but the water felt far too cold. After two hard days of skiing, we were counting on a refreshing warm soak and were seriously disappointed to find that “thermal” didn’t mean hot. The temperature was 95-97 degrees Fahrenheit, which just doesn’t cut it in winter, especially for 44€. It felt like a public pool without a hot tub. The three round outdoor pools seemed like they might be warmer, but they felt just the same. Think of a bath at home where the water has cooled until you’re almost too cold to stay in. They should post the water temperatures at check-in and on the booking site. Admission gets crazy busy at 6pm when the price drops, with people competing for lockers and poolside chairs. In my opinion, it wasn’t worth the admission price at all. The hotel and spa package with sauna looked impressive, but we only used the pools.

Since I posted my review, management has replied, and I stand by what I wrote 100%. They say sauna access is controlled by a separate turnstile, so guests have to actively enter and couldn’t get in “without realizing it.” That’s true, but there was no sign around the turnstile telling us that going through would cost an extra 22 euros. If the turnstile is meant to prevent this, it shouldn’t let guests enter unless they’ve paid. Period. They also claimed there were several clear signs about the extra charge and that reception explains the different areas and possible surcharges, especially to first-time visitors. That’s not true at all. The signs were poor, and the staff who checked us in never mentioned extra charges for different parts of the facility. Management says transparency matters and that they want guests to be well informed. That’s a joke when they failed to disclose the charge and had a chance to waive it when we questioned it, but chose not to give us the benefit of the doubt. Shameful. Don’t go here. You can end up in the sauna or steam bath without realizing there’s an extra 22 euros to pay, and they don’t care. It feels like a cash grab without proper notice.

The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious, with a wide range of options. The thermal baths and saunas were very good, especially the sauna infusion sessions, which helped us relax and get ready for the next ski day. The hotel is very close to Sölden ski resort. Be aware that the sauna is textile-free. Hotel guests also have two extra floors if they want a more private sauna and jacuzzi. The resort is big, and the signs for the hotel and thermal baths are poor. It took us a long time to find our way around, and we got lost. Better directions are needed. Room service was disappointing too: when we asked for a towel or something else, it took at least an hour, and we had to call to remind them.

The Day Spa package comes with tea, water, and sunbeds, but those are only in the swimming pool area on the 2nd floor. It’s quite a walk from the sauna, so they’re not much use there, especially since tea and water matter most while you’re in the sauna. It’s a good spa overall, though 82 Euros for one day with the sauna and pool is a hefty price.
