Burg Hotel Oberlech

We've just finished our fifth stay with the kids, and had another amazing time. The Burg has helpful staff, fantastic food, and a cosy atmosphere. The building is well appointed, with some notable upgrades over the past several years to the lobby, bar, lounge, card room, smoking room, wine cellar, and dining room. Best of all, it's right across from the Petersboden lift on the piste. For our family winter holiday, it's our favourite place.

After a morning skiing, I stopped here for lunch. The terrace has a beautiful view over the valley, the menu is quite high-end, and the service was efficient.

We had a really unpleasant experience here today. We decided to leave before finishing our order and clearly asked them to cancel it, but the staff insisted on preparing it anyway and made us pay. Their attitude was rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We spent two weeks at the Burg hotel in August 24 with our two little kids, aged 2 and 3. The Lech area and its surroundings are amazing, with mountain trails, huts, and infrastructure for getting up and down the mountains that are worth experiencing. The spa was one of the best we've experienced, and you can tell a lot has been invested in it because everything looks new. There are infrared, steam, regular, and Finnish saunas, plus a snow room. Adults and kids have separate areas, including a jacuzzi and cold plunge. You could easily spend a full day there. The service was exceptional throughout the hotel, probably among the best I've experienced in Europe. We chose the half-board option, and every dinner was really good. We never disliked any of the options. Breakfast was good too, with plenty to choose from. The wine list is very extensive, with high-quality wines at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the Burg Hotel and the Lech area.
