Hotel Kristall

We’d skied in Lech a few times before having a baby and had stayed in hotels pricier than Kristall. We picked Kristall because it was near the children’s daycare and had great reviews, but we didn’t expect to love it this much. The rooms, breakfast, location, and price were all great. What made the stay especially lovely was Richard and Oma Emma. They were such warm, sweet hosts and treated us like family, so we really felt cared for. We loved it enough to book the same time next year already, and we’re looking forward to coming back.

Richard and the staff at Hotel Kristall made us feel welcome, always greeting us with a smile. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home-baked goods. The hotel and rooms were very clean and even smelled lovely. We had a great stay and will definitely be back. Thanks!

Richard is friendly and does a great job suggesting good local restaurants. We had a couple of nice evening chats over a beer, and there’s a book about “how to become happy” in every room. He seems to live by that philosophy. The hotel is very central, about 5 minutes from the funicular to Oberlech. Rooms are clean and nice, breakfast is yummy, the sauna is warm, and there are drinks, a ski room, and free parking in Lechs main underground parking space. For Lech, the price was very reasonable. We did feel uncomfortable with a couple of rude, inappropriate comments from the owner’s brother, who stayed there for a week, but we ignored that and had a great time overall. I’d recommend the hotel.

Richard and his mother are kind and attentive, and the rooms are comfortable and nicely put together. Breakfast is very good too. Kristall is conveniently placed, no more than a 2 minute walk to the Oberlech Gondola and 5 minutes to the Rufikopf lift.
