Pension Hartenfels was wonderfully clean and perfectly located. Martina was efficient and helpful with all our requests. I loved the balcony off our room, especially the blankets on the chairs. We sat outside listening to the river and watching the snow fall.

The breakfast buffet was tasty, and the room had a balcony looking over the lake. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and there was hot water in the shower. A pleasant place to stay, recommended.

We stayed for two days in clean, spacious rooms. Ours was in the basement beside the sauna and ski boot room. Breakfast was good, but the small shower gel bottle was empty after the first day and wasn’t replaced, and neither were the two tea bags. The owner was tight-lipped throughout, so we didn’t complain and kept conversation to a minimum. When we called after leaving about an item we’d forgotten, she said we were barred because we hadn’t said goodbye, which we had, and because we hadn’t left a tip. On arrival at noon, the woman, obviously the owner, opened the balcony door and barked at us without greeting that the rooms weren’t ready and we couldn’t leave our cars there. We hadn’t intended to leave them, but needed to park briefly. She then slammed the door. What goes around, comes around!

A small, affordable family-run hotel. The hosts were very warm, the breakfast was very good, and everything was immaculately clean.
