Hotel Gotthard

The room itself was excellent and well maintained, and the hotel was very convenient. The big problem was how warm it was almost everywhere. We ended up sleeping with the balcony door open. We had half board. Breakfast was good, but it didn’t vary over the week, which would have been nice. Dinner was fine, though not excellent. Carla in the morning and our evening server, Drago (sp?), deserve a special mention for service that went above and beyond. They were truly great.

We’ve stayed in both Winter and Sommer and always had an amazing time. The team is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they’re what makes the hotel feel like a home away from home. My husband and I loved it so much that we chose to celebrate our wedding there. They were so helpful with the planning and made sure everything went smoothly. I’m incredibly grateful. The hotel is beautiful, the food from the Lecherstube was excellent, and the bakery made us a fantastic cake.

I dropped my credit card in the hall, and the room service team handed it in to reception. That says a lot about the staff. Everything was second to none, from the food and wellness amenities to the service. It’s very central, just a few minutes’ walk to the main gondola, lifts, restaurants and bars. A wonderful few days at an outstanding hotel. A must stay.

We had a very nice stay at the Hotel Gotthard in Lech and would happily go back. The rooms were clean and large. Ours was a double with a separate seating area. The location is handy for walking to ski lifts, shops and other restaurants, and it was nice having a good German/Austrian restaurant and bakery in the hotel. Staff were very friendly, especially at breakfast. WiFi depended on where you were in the buildings. We didn’t get a good signal in our room, and sometimes had none at all. Parking is off-site, which is fine if you don’t need your car.
