Hotel Mohnenfluh

We’d stopped here for lunch nine years ago and wanted to stay. It lived up to our hopes. Our attic room in the chalet was spotless, as were all the other areas. The outside veranda is a lovely, peaceful spot to sit, eat, or have a drink. Even though it’s up in the mountains, there are beautiful walks nearby, and public transport down to Lech is easy if needed. The food was delicious, and service was prompt and friendly. Thank you.

At 1,700 metres, Hotel Mohnenfluh is a wonderful starting point for summer hikes, including Formarinsee and Körbersee, as well as many others. In winter, it’s ski-in, ski-out, with access to Oberlech, Warth, Lech, Zürs, Stuben, Sankt Anton, and Sankt Christophe. It’s an immense connected ski area, with runs for all levels, ski routes, and off-piste skiing with a certified guide. My wife and I are passionate skiers and have been booking winter sports in Vorarlberg for more than 50 years. We’ve tried many resorts in different countries, but Vorarlberg is at the very top for us, especially if you want to cover lots of distance and vertical metres. The hotel itself has friendly, helpful hosts, a family feel, and a lovely atmosphere. We also value the service, food, wine cellar, wellness area, and swimming pool. We’ve stayed at Hotel Mohnenfluh in both winter and summer. If you get the chance to book it, don’t hesitate.

The dinner was a real highlight: a varied fresh salad buffet, delicious soup, an excellent main course you could customize, and a wonderful dessert. Every meal felt creative and full of flavor. The staff also went above and beyond, and the spa was a lovely place to relax after skiing. My husband and I spent two magical days at Hotel Mohnenfluh in Oberlech. The hotel sits beside the ski lift among beautiful snow-covered mountains, so getting out to ski is very easy. Its secluded position also means the area gets sunshine all day. The hotel is charming and comfortable, and the whole stay felt peaceful. We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious mountain escape, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

We’ve enjoyed many wonderful lunches at the Mohnenfluh over the years, so we were lucky to spend a week there to start the new year. The hotel and its setting were just as amazing as we expected, with excellent service and delicious food. The outdoor pool was fun for both adults and kids. Thanks to everyone who made the week memorable. We can’t wait to come back.
