I didn’t stay at Sporthotel Lorunser this time, but the owners kindly let me have dinner there, which is usually just for hotel guests. I’d stayed many times as a child. The meal was impeccable, and guests get three full meals a day included. I can’t comment on the rooms or spa myself, though the guests I spoke with spoke highly of them. The hotel is a lovely property in Zurs, centrally placed in the village and within easy walking distance of all the major lifts. It has a charming blend of old-world character and modern comforts. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way for guests. It still seems very family friendly, as I remember from family holidays there when I was young. A wonderful gem in the Arlberg!

The service was personal and perfect, the interior beautiful, and the food wonderful. The Lorünser is a family-run hotel, the kind that’s hard to find these days. Its stunning setting and elegant sun terrace have a truly alpine feel, though it could just as easily be in Italy or Switzerland. It’s built to last for generations, a real highlight in the Alps. Thank you.

This was our fourth year, and we’re definitely coming back. For a ski holiday, the family hotel Lorünzer has a spa, playroom, ski rental, ski school pickup right outside, a nursery nearby, and tasty full-board meals. You need to come and experience what real five-star service feels like. We had the ski holiday of a lifetime.

I first came 52 years ago, and it was wonderful then. I’ve returned several times and believe it will always be wonderful. A rare, special place, and I’m so happy I got to be there. What more can I say about perfection?
