The family who run the place are attentive, helpful hosts, and the price is great for what you get. Rooms are spacious and clean, with modern bathrooms and nearly everything you need. Breakfast is included and good quality. The ski lift is a short drive away, and there’s a lovely dog keeping an eye on your things in the ski storage. One side of the building has an unobstructed mountain view. We had everything we needed for a full week of skiing. A car is essential here. There’s basically nothing within walking distance, and with no sidewalk along the road, walking would be fairly dangerous. The ski bus only runs once an hour during limited operating hours, so the location may be difficult if you like après-ski. The walls are fairly thin, so quiet hours from 22 to 6 need to be respected. There’s also a working farm connected to the building, with a distinct farm smell, which city people should be aware of. I missed having an electric kettle in the room. Even with those drawbacks, I’d highly recommend the place if they don’t bother you.

It was clean and close to the bus station, and breakfast was good, though it was the same every day. The owners were very rigid.

The owners have a personal touch, nothing like an impersonal hotel chain. We had a wonderful week: comfortable beds, lovely clean rooms, and a luxurious bathroom. Fresh towels are available if you need them. Breakfast was nicely prepared, with hot drinks, orange juice, different toppings and breads, and an egg. The eggs weren’t cooled in cold water, though, so they were hard to peel and too hot to hold. We had a room at the back, away from the road, and it was wonderfully quiet. There’s a working farm nearby, and you can smell it around the main entrance, though not in the room. The location worked perfectly for us since we had a car and weren’t looking for après-ski. We can see how it might not suit everyone, as there’s nowhere to walk.

We’ve stayed here several times over the past few years and have always felt comfortable. The rooms are well maintained, breakfast is generous, and the host family are very friendly. It made for a lovely holiday every time.
