The landlady was so friendly and accommodating, and we’d happily return. Getting there involves a slightly adventurous drive, but it takes you to a cabin that’s furnished with care and surrounded by nature. It’s a lovely place to unwind after skiing and take in the mountain panorama. Everything felt just right.

We’ve already made the trip twice for this lovely secluded house, with its excellent amenities and very friendly owners. One small hassle is the gate: you need a key to get in, and only one is provided. When several families are staying together, that can make it awkward to head out on separate excursions. Still, it’s manageable.

The winter drive up was pretty challenging in the snow, and I was glad to have four-wheel drive :-) The hut itself is amazing: new, clean, and comfortable, with a sauna that looks out at the mountains. We’d love to come back!

You can set off on lovely hikes straight from the house in summer, or go ski touring in winter. The place is modern and has everything you need, with breathtaking views over the valley. There’s also a small, charming restaurant nearby for a snack or dinner. Just be aware that the winter drive can be tricky if you’re not an experienced driver.
