Chalet Tannenhof

Every part of my stay at Chalet Tannenhof went beyond what I expected. From arrival right through to leaving, it felt like a perfect visit. I’m very happy to share how much I enjoyed it.

The Swiss pine thermal bath in the garden, looking out toward the mountains, was a real highlight. Being there among the snowy Alps felt priceless. The wellness area is spacious and lovely, with a sauna and infrared cabin, and the Grubig valley station is just a few metres away for easy mornings on the slopes. The setting itself is quiet, too. We first came to Chalet Tannenhof in Lermoos in winter to ski and immediately fell for it. Since then we’ve returned several times, arriving by convertible and motorcycle, and once in autumn for the Indian Summer. It’s a great base for Alpine pass drives, mountain biking, or simply hiking and enjoying the scenery. Walter and Barbara are warm and genuine hosts who clearly enjoy spending time with their guests. We’ve felt that on every visit. It’s the kind of place we keep wanting to come back to.

The view of the Zugspitze was one of our favourite parts, and the sauna area is hard to beat. Barbara and Walter are so welcoming that we felt at home straight away. The charming chalets have lovingly furnished interiors and make for a truly relaxing stay. Chalet Tannenhof is a gem in the Tyrolean mountains. We’ve found our home away from home here. Anyone who hasn’t visited at least once is missing out.

Barbara and Walter gave us excursion tips that suited both our interests and our fitness levels. They even brought over the dog bed we’d forgotten, which was such a lucky break. We stayed over the long May Day weekend with two adults, three teenagers, and our dog. We’ve seldom felt this comfortable in a holiday rental. The house is beautifully furnished, with thoughtful decorations throughout, and the welcome was warm. Their help was attentive and easygoing, but never intrusive. Dear Barbara and Walter, you deserve at least 10 stars, even if we can only give you five. We’ll be back!
