It was peaceful and quiet when we visited, a week before the summer season began in Lermoos, and we found it very relaxing. The staff were attentive and took care of our needs. Our dog was welcomed along with our family in one of the family rooms. The restaurant menu is simple and the prices are good, especially as prices at all the Alms have risen a lot in recent years. The rooms were just as we remembered them, clean, spacious, and well cared for. We’ve been coming here many times over roughly ten years, but this was our first return under new ownership. We’d seen some negative reviews and were concerned before booking, though the location is perfect and we wanted to give it a chance. The hotel has changed hands again since early 2024, and the new team is trying to undo the damage done by the previous owners. Our kids are older now, but this hotel was great even when they were young.

The staff were friendly, but the value for money was very low. Maybe hotels in this area are simply overpriced, but this felt like less than what budget hotels offer. Breakfast was a very basic continental spread. The spa worked well, though it was small, and bathrobes cost 5€ to rent, with slippers at 1,5€. The place was old and worn down, though clean, with very few amenities: no kettle, glasses, cups, or toiletries. The carpet was very old and the towels overused. The mattress was completely sunken in and gave me back pain. We didn’t have a comfortable stay.

The supermarket is a three-minute walk away, and the location also gives you great mountain views. The rooms are clean and practical, with a great shower. Breakfast has plenty of continental options and eggs made to order. The restaurant serves good local dishes, along with other choices like Bolognese and chilli con carne.

The location is nice, and Garmisch Partenkirchen is about 20-25 minutes away by car. The food in the restaurant was tasty, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The room was OK, but at this price I’d call it great value for money.

We went inside for a break from skiing. The place was full, but the staff seemed to be managing things. Still, after 10 minutes nobody had acknowledged us, and after 20 minutes we hadn’t even received menus, so we left. The staff clearly saw us and still chose to ignore us.
