We especially enjoyed having our morning coffee on the little terrace, breathing the fresh mountain air and taking in the scenery. The apartment had everything two people could need in the kitchen, and felt like home. It was modern, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Stephan greeted us so warmly at the Schickster Mountain Lodge. His thoughtful, kind hospitality was clear from the moment we arrived. The lodge is in a peaceful, natural setting, with hiking trails, a store, and a gas station nearby. The stay was even better than the photos suggested, which doesn’t happen often. For modern comfort, impeccable cleanliness, and beautiful surroundings, Schickster Mountain Lodge is a great choice. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return if we’re in the area again. 10/10.

We had a lovely New Year’s stay with three adults and three teenagers, and went cross-country skiing every day. It’s a great place for a ski holiday, in a nice area for cross-country skiing with plenty of pistes open even this early in the season. The cross-country area is about a ten-minute walk away. Restaurants were a bit of a problem at this time of year. It was really hard to get a table anywhere, so plan ahead if you want to eat out, or shop at the local supermarket and cook in the spacious kitchen. Our ratings take the price and type of accommodation into account. This isn’t a hotel, so although the caretaker was helpful, don’t expect room service.

The setting is gorgeous, about 20 minutes from Innsbruck. The apartment has a spacious living room with a kitchenette, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It’s warm, welcoming, and practical, with Netflix on the TV in the living room and in both bedrooms.
