I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

The restaurant on the 27th floor had a superb view. The rooms were modern and spacious, though I really missed having USB ports to charge my devices. Breakfast was a letdown: hardly any fruit or vegetables, just a small pastry selection, and both the scrambled eggs and sausages were cold. The staff didn't seem very interested in guests. The location is a major plus, so I think these problems may be sorted out over time. I'll visit again out of curiosity. The hotel is in an excellent spot.

The Tabakfabrik area has charm, and the building itself is great. It's around a 10-15 minute walk to the city center along the Danube, and the Q27 bar is worth a visit. Still, Arcotel Linz didn't meet our expectations. I often stay in hotels for both work and personal trips, and the service and communication fell short of what I'd expect from a hotel of this class. I emailed about the hotel bar before we arrived, but a week after we left I still hadn't had a reply. On arrival day, construction had closed the underground garage entrance. Reception didn't know about the alternative routes, which we found by chance. Room cleaning has to be requested with a QR code, but the link didn't work on any of our three smartphones for three days. On departure day, there was no hot water for a shower until checkout. We were told it was a technical fault they were working to fix, but nobody offered late checkout, a price reduction or any other compensation. There wasn't even an apology at checkout, or the usual feedback request. Our superior room wasn't quite as advertised either: the so-called large window front was only half glass, with metal making up the other half, and a pillar in front blocked part of the view.
