We really enjoyed our stay at this charming, rustic gasthof, where we were made to feel so welcome. The room was spacious, with a great shower that kept the water contained, and we could open the windows for fresh air. Dogs are welcome too. Breakfast was simple and healthy. You’ll probably speak German with some of the staff, while others can speak English if needed. The lake is a 15-minute walk, with gorgeous sunset scenery, and the train makes for a quick trip to Breganz or Lindau island.

The building has so much character, and the view from our window was fantastic. We stayed one night in a very clean, tidy room on the fourth floor, reached by stairs. Breakfast was included, with rolls, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, and sliced meat. It was a warm day, but the night cooled down enough to open the window for some fresh air. We speak English and had no trouble checking in. The lake is a short drive away for sunset.

Our receptionist recommended this restaurant, and dinner left us happy and completely stuffed. The food was fresh, carefully prepared, and delicious. My schnitzel was huge, juicy inside, well fried on the outside, and served with lemon. Even after three pieces of "garlic bread," the homemade pastry with its thick layer of fresh cream was worth having. The home beere Reiner has a tasty, authentic flavor that sets it apart from industrial beere. The bill was another pleasant surprise, quite small. Fantastic.
