The owners are lovely, professional, and always ready to help. They speak English, German, and Hungarian. You can walk around the area from here, and it's a great base for either skiing or hiking. The lift is at most a five-minute walk away, and everything in Lofer is within about ten minutes on foot. Highly recommend!

We remembered Haus Patricia in Lofer as a warm, welcoming zimmer from our stay many years ago. After the recent takeover by American owners Kevin and his wife, our experience was completely different, and we won't return. The room was poorly maintained and the shower had no hot water, despite the property not matching what had been promised. Breakfast felt extremely cheap and offered very little variety. The hosts seemed to think smiley faces drawn on boiled eggs made up for the lack of quality, and appeared stingy when we asked for one extra egg. Leaving was insulting too. Kevin carried out a room "inspection" rudely and disrespectfully, counting the spoons as if checking whether we'd stolen any. Don't rely on the property's high historical ratings, as we did. The owners have changed, and the hospitality we remembered is gone.

Melinda was a wonderful host, and we enjoyed both our stay and the amenities. The sauna was amazing. It made for a great visit to a small town in the Austrian Alps, close to all the action. I'd highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

This was our second visit, and it was just as good as the first, which hasn't always been our experience when returning to other hotels. The guest house is an easy walk from the old town center, with a good choice of cafes, bars, restaurants, and the cable cars nearby. Melinda and Kevin are such welcoming hosts and go out of their way to make each stay enjoyable and memorable for the right reasons. They gave us helpful advice on places to visit. Breakfast had a lovely spread of cold meats and cheeses, plus fresh bread rolls, and you even get a boiled egg with a face drawn on! They think of little comforts too, like an extension socket and a night light. I honestly can't fault the place and would highly recommend it.

Our room and the facilities were all clean and well cared for. From the balcony we had lovely views, with beautiful flower boxes in the windows. Kevin and Melinda were friendly, welcoming hosts and knew plenty about local activities, places to visit and eat, and spots further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Haus Patricia and highly recommend it.
