Berghof Burtscher

Family Burtscher were so kind and welcoming, and gave us helpful ideas for hikes and other things to do nearby. The Berghof is high up in the mountains, with a breathtaking panorama. We had an amazing stay.

The apartment was simple, very clean, and just what we needed. We stayed as a family with two primary school aged children, felt comfortable, and would happily return. The hosts were friendly, and the elevated location had a fantastic view. It was really relaxing.

I stayed for just 30 minutes. The bed was horribly dirty, with mouse droppings and insects. It was covered in dirt, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The Burtscher family are down to earth, lovely people, and we felt completely at ease on their farm. We spent a few days there over Easter and hated to leave. It's secluded and peaceful, surrounded by nature, though the apartment is dated. That didn't bother us since we were out most of the time, and it had everything we needed. It was also undamaged and spotlessly clean, which matters a lot to me. The children loved watching the farm work and spending time with the chickens. They could use the much loved trampoline and swings for free. Mr. Burtscher was always happy to chat and gave us tips for activities. You can buy the farm's own eggs, sausage, and cheese there too. Our apartment had a wonderful view. While we were visiting, the apartments on the floor below were being renovated and expanded, and the family is clearly putting a lot of effort into the place. We'll definitely come back, probably more than once. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a stay with down to earth hosts rather than a luxury holiday in a designer hotel.
