Ferienhotel Alber

The staff were really nice and communicated well, even though most of them don't speak English. The rooms were tidy and pleasant. They might feel a little old to some people, but I liked them. Half board was worth it for the luxurious breakfasts and dinners. A very nice hotel in the Austrian Alps, and I'd recommend it.

The ski bus stops right outside, with routes to both Mallnitz Ankogel and Molltaler Gletscher, which were both amazing places to ski. Parking is available in front of the hotel or at a large lot about 100m away. We came looking for good value and found it. Breakfast was great, the three-course dinner was amazing, and the staff were super friendly. Most spoke English too, which was a big plus. The rooms are a bit dated, but suit the place. The carpets around the hotel were a bit dirty, and replacing them would freshen the look. The wellness area was mixed: the steam sauna wasn't hot enough, and the infrared one didn't seem to work, but the Finnish sauna was great. The chill room was mildly cold as it should be, and blankets were available on the beds. Perfect for a ski trip.

The included karten card was a huge help during our summer family stay, giving us free entry to all the major attractions in the karten area. Alber hotel is family-run and a bit older, which adds to its charm and character. We'd gladly recommend it. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

Mallnitz is stunning for hiking and exploring nature, with waterfalls all around. The hotel has that gorgeous Austrian charm, with rustic Heidi Alps style rooms and antique, unusual objects throughout. The staff were so kind and sweet. We loved our stay at hotel Alber and will surely return.
