The rooms are comfortable, and there’s a modest wellness area. The hotel felt like three stars, but the restaurant was five-star. We had an incredible Christmas dinner and can’t praise it enough. The staff were very friendly, too. It would be nice to have a fireplace and a bigger lobby-style space to spend time in on long evenings before bed.

The location on the town square is great, and it’s a good spot to enjoy the weekly music. The meals are good value, and the restaurant is very good. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, though the owner couple less so.

The fish was badly cooked. The chef tried twice, and both times it came out undercooked, yet they charged us full price for both fish dishes. The poor food and unbelievable service were a letdown. It was good two years ago, but the quality has dropped, and that may be why the restaurant has no customers.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s holiday, and Moserwirt will definitely be where we stay. We spent a little over a week there in early January 2020, and it’s rare for us to return to the same hotel year after year. With Moserwirt, it feels like coming home. The atmosphere, great food, nice rooms and good beds, plus the service from both owners and staff, make each visit something we look forward to. Every year we notice changes, big and small, that make guests more comfortable. The rooms were impeccably clean as usual, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom with a good shower. The breakfast spread is extensive, including many EKO and local or regional products, and both breakfast and dinner look and taste great. We’ve enjoyed every lunch and dinner so much that when we consider trying another restaurant, we wonder whether it could really be better. We usually end up eating dinner at the hotel every night and leave feeling very satisfied. The desserts are so tasty they’re hard to resist, and if we’re not careful, we could come home with a few extra kilos! :-) What stands out most is how well the owners and staff work together. Even during packed dinner service, the whole team worked incredibly hard and stayed in a good mood. We never noticed any stress despite the workload. It was a pleasure to watch such a coordinated team. Many thanks to the Niederreiter family and their team for another fantastic stay!
