Strandhotel Sille

The rooms are large and comfortable, the food is nice, and the beer is excellent. The hotel also has a wonderful lake view. Special mention to the staff, who were always available whenever we needed anything.

I was glad to have the chance to return to this 4-star hotel on June 15, 2022, with my son, after 40 years. The service and location are still excellent, and it really deserves its four stars. It's right by the lake, with a lawn for sitting and lake access for swimming. The water-ski school and tennis court are very close. The food is upper class, and the waiters are patient and extremely friendly. There's free Wi-Fi, though no EV charging station yet. I understand they're working on one. I first came here every weekend while working in Klagenfurt in the early seventies. The food and drinks were the best, and I had a good relationship with the owner's family and staff. They always made me feel welcome. Thank you! 😊

I stayed for a few days and had every comfort I could ask for. The staff were really kind and caring. The hotel has a gym, restaurant, private beach, and amazing views, and the restaurant's local dishes are sublime. Well done, I'll be back for sure.

I won't be coming back. I went to the terrace for a few drinks and only afterward learned that cards aren't accepted for bills under €20. I had no cash. I apologized a couple of times and explained that I'm a tourist and didn't know this was a thing in Austria, but the waiter was incredibly rude. He guilt-tripped me about getting in trouble with his boss, made me feel foolish by asking who goes out without cash, and said we weren't in the Netherlands. What more could I do than apologize?
